GVS Leads is our Business Retention & Expansion Program.  This program is designed to strengthen the business climate in the Green Valley & Sahuarita area.   


There are many facets to operating a business, and as an owner, expertise in all facets is not generally a given. This Chamber program can connect you with resources to assist you in operating your business at peak performance. If you have an idea for a business or are ready to retire and sell your business, or anywhere in between, we can connect you with the proper resources. One of the many challenges today for the business community is a viable workforce. A new mission of the GVS Leads program is to collaborate with community partners on workforce development. Understanding the workforce needs of our local businesses and pairing them with available talent will benefit our entire community! 


GVS Leads Subject Matter Experts
Dr. Sherry Cain brings her considerable experience and expertise to individuals and organizations across the country. Over her career--including Mental Health Centers, Drug and Alcohol Centers, Correctional Facilities, Educational facilities from Head Start programs to College Counseling Centers and Professional Athletes—Dr. Cain has been helping people in all walks of life for over 30 years. Dr. Cain can help you and your staff become the kind of resilient, high-functioning team that can take your business to the next level. Dr. Cain holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, M.A. in Counseling, and B.A. in Biology, all from West Virginia University.
Melissa Noshay-Petro, Mimi, as she is commonly known, is a partner at Udall Law Firm, Tucson’s oldest firm, practicing business and transactional law, and working in estate planning and real estate. She is a graduate of the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. As a former business owner and co-owner of the Firm, Mimi understands both the legal and practical issues employers face. She serves as general counsel for a variety of companies and industries, including employee leasing agencies, contractors, realtors, property managers, educational institutions, behavioral health and social service agencies, and professionals ranging from physicians, certified public accountants, to attorneys.
Doug Christy founded Pro/Vision Coaching in 2007.  Doug has coached hundreds of business owners since then, now specializing in helping family owned businesses transition to family members or key employees, or simply getting the business in shape for a  3rd party sale.  As a professionally certified and recognized business coach, he can coach you through all the key business functions required for today’s business owner.  Doug is uniquely qualified as he has been Owner, CEO, President, or Executive Director of 4 businesses before entering the coaching profession.  His work with the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce and Town of Sahuarita in developing a business retention and expansion program (now GVS Leads) earned him the recognition of one of AZ 19’s Most Influential People of 2019. 
Nikole Haumont is a businesswoman, speaker and marketing consultant.  Nikole founded Shield Bar Marketing – a boutique marketing firm that helps service-based businesses create and maintain a consistent, branded look across all assets. Her team provides logo design, website design and hosting, email marketing, search engine optimization, graphic design and social media management services. She is also a freelance writer and former magazine owner/executive editor. After relocating to Arizona, Shield Bar Marketing was named the 2019 New Business of the Year in the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce. Nikole is also the co-founder of the Advantage Alliance Referral Networking group; and the co-host of the Time2Fly - Give Your Business Wings podcast.

Alex Magallanes has been coaching small business owners for over 5 years, and is passionate about developing the economy of our community through the advocacy of entrepreneurship. He enjoys connecting with people, finding creative ways to grow their small businesses, and provide innovative ideas for his clients. Alex holds a bachelors in Ministerial Arts through Epic Bible College, and is currently a senior with Liberty University with a major in Marketing Analytics. He currently lives in Sahuarita, AZ where he enjoys his community along with his wife and three children.

Donald Overturf, CPA is a full time resident of Green Valley. I came to Green Valley after retiring from a career as a Certified Public Accountant and Chief Financial Officer. Throughout my career I have been focused on staying current with the ever-changing tax laws, regulations and trends. I’ve then been called upon to implement systems necessary to comply with the requirements. That is the service I bring to the small businesses and residents of Green Valley/Sahuarita community. My goal is to assist you with your information needs as well as your tax planning and compliance.
 Since moving here we have invested in the community by purchasing the Parcel Plus and investing in the Zeta Hair and Day SPA. All of our businesses are members of the Green Valley/Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce and Green Valley Council’s Preferred Vendor Program.
