The Green Valley/Sahuarita Event Leadership Committee is inviting all cancer survivors to be honored at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, walk. This is being held at the Rancho Resort Park, 15900 S. Rancho Resort Blvd, on March 29th, 2025, beginning at 11: 00 a.m. A Survivor/Caregiver social will be at noon. Family and friends are invited to join the walk at any time in celebration of More Cancer Survivor Birthdays. There is no fee to register or attend. Donations will go to the American Cancer Society to fund patient programs and cancer researchers. The University of Arizona receives research grants yearly.

Many teams of caring individuals will walk laps for support. Raffle prizes, games, prizes, food, music and entertainment will be held throughout the day. As the day ends, the luminaria bags are lit, (these are decorated by supporters in memory of or in support of loved ones affected by cancer), the bags are placed all around the track, as the group listens to the names of those who have been touched by cancer or list their cancer battle. A very moving event.
