The Regional Transportation Authority is conducting a brief survey to seek your input on its draft $2.46 billion regional transportation plan. The RTA Next survey is available in English or Spanish. The survey is open through Jan. 31.

Your input will be considered by the RTA Board before a final plan is approved for a future election. Pima County voters will consider the final 20-year plan and a new 20-year half-cent sales tax. The RTA is a state-established taxing district within the boundaries of Pima County. The RTA’s current plan and half-cent sales tax are effective through June 2026.

New nonstop flights between TUS and Sacramento (SMF)

Tucson International Airport (TUS) is excited to welcome new air service to Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Alaska Airlines launches their flight on January 6, 2025, and will operate daily through Monday, April 21, 2025. Southwest Airlines begins theirs on March 8, 2025, and will operate during the weekends. Known as America's Farm-to-Fork Capital. Sacramento is enrichen with farm-fresh restaurants, local breweries, and colorful street murals. Explore The Old Sacramento Waterfront, a 28-acre National Historic Landmark District and State Historic Park honoring California's beginning. Along the scenic Sacramento River, the district dazzles with local shops, entertainment, cuisine, historical attractions, and museums revisiting the California Gold Rush and Transcontinental Railroad, two historical infrastructure projects. Learn about ‘Sactown’ through the 32 museums about medical history to Gold Rush, railroads, ancient art and the city of Sacramento and state of California.
